A summary of my qualifications and experience to be your new Councillor in Kanata South:
President of the Katimavik-Hazeldean Community Association since October 2017. Prior to that was Secretary of the Katimavik-Hazeldean Community Association (www.khca.on.ca).
Have been an employee of the federal government for over 16 years. Currently employed by Shared Services Canada as an Analyst. Have also worked in the federal government for CIC/IRCC and have done extensive work for DND and CBSA.
Have a wide variety of work experience prior to the federal government, including working 4 years at Canada's largest advertising agency (at that time) and 7 years for the City of Peterborough driving heavy equipment, doing bylaw enforcement and as a municipal building inspector. Have designed and personally built an entire house by hand.
Graduate of Algonquin College (3-year Business Administration Diploma), Ryerson University (Architectural Technology Certificate), Sir Sandford Fleming College (3-year Information Systems Diploma), and Athabasca University (Bachelor of General Studies).
Have served 15 years as a volunteer union representative for the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). A founder of formal union-management consultations at CIC/IRCC (twice elected President), and a founder of the Ottawa Metro CS Subgroup; re-elected for many years as the Secretary. Founder and elected President of the IRCC NCR Branch. Lead organizer of the 2011 PIPSC IM/IT Sector Council. Have also served on the CS Group Executive, the Ottawa Centreville Branch Executive and the PIPSC Election Appeals Committee. Have spent many years and thousands of volunteer hours helping others with their workplace and personal problems.

Born in downtown Toronto, I have also lived in Halifax, Dawson City (Yukon), Peterborough, and outside Norwood (Ontario). I have lived in Kanata South with my wife and daughter for almost 20 years.
